Vivienne Westwood has been an icon in the fashion industry for decades, but her reach rarely extends into the celebrity realm, save for the wedding dress she designed for the Sex and the City movie and a couple of red-carpet appearances on Gwen Stefani. That all changed last year when Pharrell went into the archives and wore a vintage Westwood hat to the Grammys. A year later and Westwood has a capsule collection with Opening Ceremony and her duds on the backs of two of the biggest fashion world stars: Kanye West and Cara Delevingne.
West wore a Westwood coat from the 1982 Nostalgia of Mud collection out and about in London two days ago, pairing the shearling outerwear with his now-signature maroon sweatshirt and lace-up boots. Just today, Delevingne chose another Westwood design, this time from the brand’s Fall 2015 Red Label collection, to wear to the Elle U.K. Style Awards in London.
