The comedian wants to play the famous footballer in H&M’s tongue-in-cheek new campaign
Some actors are just committed to their craft. At least, that’s the conceit in H&M’s new campaign, in which diminutive comedian Kevin Hart goes full method as he prepares to play David Beckham in an upcoming biopic (title: I, Beckham). It’s a spoof, clearly, but it’s a funny one. The incongrous duo is entertaining and charming, and it’s worth taking 30 seconds out of your day to watch Hart dress up like Beckham as the footballer shifts between sneers and confusion. The clothes, by the way, are part of the Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham fall 2015 collection, and they look good. We’re especially partial to that navy blue bomber, which, like the rest of the collection, will be available starting in October.
